Browser + TAK interoperability

One common operating picture.

UDP and TCP Marti APIs of the open-source US Government TAK Server. The phone or tablet is the server, ATAK, iTAK, WinTAK, TAKX, MCH, and WebTAK join the same COP over Wi-Fi, USB-C ethernet, or MANET.

Marti & enrollment

The native Marti API runs over UDP and TCP straight from the handset. Clients enroll with mTLS certificates, and users, groups, and channels are managed on the device, no server room, no cloud tenant.

  • /Marti/api/version · CoT stream · TAK API
  • Admin API and auth login endpoints
  • mTLS enrollment and certificate handling

Opening the COP from a LAN token

The clip starts on the Tile Server home screen, opens TMG WebTAK over the LAN token, fits the team, loads all server data, and moves through plugins, forms, and admin, finishing in GeoLibre, where login-enabled webmapping projects are created.

On-device administration

Run the server from the handset

Sign in with a TAK user account and manage the deployment where it runs. The same device also hosts GeoLibre, so secure webmapping projects are administered from one place.

  • Users, groups, missions, and mission / data packages
  • Certificates and client enrollment
  • /atak endpoint: a ZIP of tile.xml, or one tile.xml per layer, imported as URLs rather than a data package
  • GeoLibre sign-in for login-enabled JSON map projects
TMG Portable TAK Server Dashboard sign-in to manage users, groups, missions, and packages

Forms and video on the same COP

Reporting and full-motion video do not need a second system. Both run inside the app that serves the COP, so a team on a closed network still files structured reports and shares streams.

  • Offline XLSForms writing into the on-device GeoPackage, with FeatureServer attachments
  • MediaMTX video: RTSP, RTMP, HLS, SRT, and WebRTC on the local network
  • Video, sensor FOV, SPI, snapshots, and DVR sit next to tracks and GeoChat in WebTAK
